Art Nouveau Swirls Free Vector by Lanisatu Art Nouveau Swirls Free Vector by Lanisatu
I created this vector tracing in 2003, for a college project. Original artist was Aubrey Beardsley, but I'm not sure which book I used as a source. The original had more details.

Free to use in personal or commercial projects. Not to be sold. NOT TO BE USED FOR LOGOS. This vector is not to be claimed as the work of anyone else. Please credit me, Emily Gonsalves, wherever possible as the creator of the vector.

If you use the file, I'd love to know how it was used. Feel free to e-mail me about it. Hope you enjoy it!

A logo should be an original creation. This is not meant to be used for a logo, no stock artwork is. You can't copyright a logo if you use stock elements.

Hello, I am a student and would like to use this image in one of my projects. If you don't write back I will assume it is OK to go forward and use the image.
Thank You Very Much

Replying again here in case another student sees this.

It is okay to use this in a student project, but you will need to credit me properly in your Works Cited. My full name to use for that is Emily Gonsalves.

Thanks for asking :)

I'm trying to make a design for our Art Club's T-shirt, and for the design we voted on was something that had swirls on it (kinda like swirls with a 70s design to it) <(^_^)>

Art Nouveau is actually more turn of the century, the height of it being 1890-1910. It's an interesting art movement that emphasizes natural and organic shapes. If you want to see more from the period, look up some of Alphonse Mucha's work, he did a lot of posters with swirly haired ladies.

Good luck with your T-shirt design :)

Beardsley. I copied the same into my own sketch book just last year. his version has more dots and a sort of chandelier looking tip on the bottom right curl.

I've been wanting to credit for a long time, but I think I scanned it out of a book I was borrowing and forgot to write down the source.

I remember simplifying the original while I was tracing, but I couldn't find it in any of my books. It was driving me nuts. I'm usually very meticulous about writing down sources.

Thanks for letting me know his name! I've added it to the description.

This is great! Would you mind if I used part of this in a tattoo?

The file is editable, so you can make your design with it. I'd kind of like to see the tattoo design before you get it done though (and after too!).

Glad you like it so much!
